Nunnington is a quiet country village, so please respect the privacy of the village and avoid overdue disruption if at all possible. Whilst many from the village will come to the funeral, others may not. There will also be visitors to the village and Nunnington Hall.

Location

Dress

Clang loved colour and you are welcome to wear something as colourful as you like in memory of Clang. Black remains popular for funerals so please wear black if you want (with a splash of colour). However, Clang was ambivalent about “beige, brown and bobbly”, so please avoid if possible.

Seating in church

Please make room for everyone by sitting five to a pew. Apart for the front pews, which are reserved for those involved in the service, there is no reserved seating. There will be an AV system and chairs outside the church for anyone who cannot find room in the church.

After months of drought, it looks as though Friday will be wet. Please welcome the rain, as Clang would have. We need it, badly. There are no wet weather contingencies or wet weather plans. Car Parking

The field diagonally opposite the church at https://w3w.co/married.installs.gold is available for car parking. However, if you have a low slung sports car and feel uncomfortable accessing the field, please park on the Old Woodyard (the fenced of area at https://w3w.co/crouches.stretch.yawned) or use the area at the front of Jubilee Farm at https://w3w.co/compiler.devalued.warbler, leaving room for tractors and trucks to get in and out. Car parking areas will be signed and manned. Wherever you park, please be considerate of the village and other road users.

Trains from London

The nearest stations are Malton and Thisk. There are direct trains from London to Thirsk. We may be able to collect you from either station if you give us a bit of notice. Please avoid getting off at York. The Station approach is undergoing major changes and should be avoided at all costs
